Situated peacefully in the heart of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors, The Blacksmith’s Country Inn, at Hartoft near Pickering, is a delightfully restored 16C inn. Originally a farm house this lovely old building has been carefully rebuilt using stone rescued from the ruins of Rosedale Abbey.

Today, the Blacksmith’s offers 19 non-smoking en-suite bedrooms, welcoming open fires, a traditional English bar, a stable restaurant and a cosy lounge.

Our friendly team prides itself in offering an array of carefully planned, homemade meals using fresh local produce, together with a selection of fine real ales and quality wines from around the globe, in a relaxing homely atmosphere second to none.

Our idyllic location, offers the visitor the unique opportunity to explore the flora and fauna of one of England’s first national parks.  The Blacksmith’s is an ideal base to discover numerous walks, family activities and local attractions available within this area of outstanding natural beauty.  The picturesque market town of Helmsley, the seaside resorts of Whitby and Scarborough, the historic walled city of York, are all easily accessible.
