| Within the local area there are many opportunities to fish irrespective of whether you are an experienced angler or a novice trying the sport for the first time. Sea fishing out of Whitby and course fishing on the many ponds and lakes is available within easy driving distance of the hotel.
For the river fisherman there is the option of the Esk, the principle salmon and sea trout fishery in Yorkshire, and the Derwent, renowned as a one of the most pristine river systems in the north due its high quality water. The choice is yours! However, please be mindful that inland waterways are not public property and you are required to seek permission from the owner before you begin fishing. You must also be in possession of the appropriate permit and license to fish a particular water.
